Barbie Skincare Routine

As a cultural icon for decades, Barbie has always been associated with beauty and glamour. If Barbie were a real person, her skincare routine would absolutely be an essential part of her beauty regimen. Here's what her routine might entail:

Cleansing

The first step in any good skincare routine is cleansing. Barbie would double cleanse with a non-comedogenic cleansing balm and a gentle cleanser to remove any makeup, dirt, or impurities from her face. This would ensure that her skin stays clean, especially having such a busy schedule. (not only from a social aspect, but professionally as well) Did you know that Barbie has over 200 inspirational careers including astronaut, pilot, firefighter, journalist, entrepreneur, and computer engineer?

Toning

After cleansing, Barbie would use a toner to restore the skin's pH balance and prepare it for further treatment. Barbie would choose a toner that contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycolic acid to help moisturise and brighten the skin.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C would be Barbie’s holy grail since. She would protect her skin from photoaging as some of her jobs involve the outdoors (eg: zoologist). Vitamin C serum will brighten and even out her complexion. Vitamin C is an effective antioxidant that can help to protect the skin from environmental damage and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. By using a vitamin C serum regularly, Barbie's skin would look more youthful and radiant, with a noticeable improvement in the texture and tone of her complexion.

Moisturiser

To keep her skin hydrated and nourished, Barbie would use a moisturiser that suits her skin type. Since Barbie would likely have a youthful complexion, she would opt for a lightweight, non-greasy moisturiser that won't clog her pores.

Barbie would also have a collection of more potent moisturisers, eye creams and glow creams that have active ingredients promoting supple skin and youthful glow, namely- retinoids, peptides, niacinamide, matrixyl, tranexamic acid, coenzyme-q10, and multiple tea/ fruit extracts.

Sun Protection

Surely you’ve seen images of Barbie having fun at the beach or pool side with Ken and her friends. Since Barbie would want to protect her skin from the harmful effects of the sun, she would use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30. Barbie would apply the sunscreen every morning before going out to ensure that her skin is protected from harmful UV rays.

In addition to her daily skincare routine, Barbie might also indulge in some occasional treatments to pamper her skin. These might include:

Exfoliation

To remove dead skin cells and reveal a brighter complexion, Barbie might use an exfoliating scrub or peel. Barbie would choose a gentle exfoliator that doesn't irritate her skin or cause any redness.

Barbie would also schedule aesthetic appointments to get treatments done that are administered by a doctor and a team of specialists. Treatments done at an aesthetic clinic would allow for stronger dosage of AHAs and BHAs that are not available OTC.

Face Masks

Barbie doesn’t shy away from indulging or experimenting with new beauty regimens. We anticipate her using a face mask before a night out for an extra hydration boost, or once a week to help address specific skin concerns. For example, if Barbie has dry skin, she might use a hydrating mask that contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid or aloe vera. If Barbie has oily or acne-prone skin, she might use a clay mask that helps to absorb excess oil and unclog pores.

Facial Massage

You know that Barbie would own a range of skincare tools. If she’s not at a spa for a lymphatic drainage massage to promote circulation and relaxation, she would do it herself. She would practice facial acupressure and do a DIY massage using a jade roller or gua sha tool.

Overall, Barbie's skincare routine would be focused on maintaining healthy, radiant skin. This would include a balanced diet, exercise, drinking a lot of water and having at least 7 hours of beauty sleep every night. Her routine would be simple yet effective, with an emphasis on gentle and nourishing ingredients. By taking good care of her skin, Barbie would not only look beautiful but also feel confident and empowered.

However, it's worth noting that Barbie's physical proportions are not realistic or attainable for most people, and unrealistic beauty standards can have negative effects on body image and self-esteem. It's essential to promote diverse representations of beauty and body types to promote inclusivity and self-acceptance.
